A student of dance, music and theatre, Kari Matchett spent three years studying at the prestigious National Theatre School in Montréal, Quebec. Her numerous stage credits include the Stratford Festival's TROILUS & CRESSIDA, MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR, and THE COUNTRY WIFE; Magnus Theatre's TRANSIT OF VENUS; Piggery Theatre's LEND ME A TENOR; and Centaur Theatre's UNCLE VANYA.

In addition to a strong background in theatre, Kari has made her mark in television, both in series and in made-for-television movies. Most notably, Kari stars as hockey team president Colleen Blessed in the critically acclaimed Alliance Atlantis series POWER PLAY, now entering it's second season on CTV. Kari has been no stranger to series work playing continuing roles on GENE RODDENBERRY'S EARTH: FINAL CONFLICT, THE REZ, READY OR NOT and has played guest-starring roles on JOHN WOO'S ONCE A THIEF, PSI FACTOR, and FOREVER KNIGHT.
