After receiving an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Western Ontario, Moira joined the creative development team at Sunrise Films where she was involved in the development of a number of projects including the CBC/Disney series DANGER BAY and the MOW MARTHA, RUTH AND EDIE.

Upon leaving Sunrise, Moira co-produced the independent feature film THE EVENTS LEADING UP TO MY DEATH. An off-beat comedy starring singer Mary Margaret O'Hara and comics Linda Kash, Karen Hines and Rosemary Radcliffe. EVENTS was director Bill Robertson's feature debut and was huge popular success. Immediately following this Moira was co-producer on the Genie award winning film, BATTLE OF THE BULGE. Next she served as line producer for 26 episodes of the Gemini award winning pre-school program THE BIG COMFY COUCH, for YTV and PBS.
