UNCUT (UK) - December 2003
by Chris Roberts
Apologies for focusing on a two-year-old record that's just registered on the radar, but it's merited. If there was a 'lost' album from the most inexplicably neglected of late 80s/early 90s cult figures, you'd want to hear about it, right? Even if it meant holding over Rugby World Cup by various artists for a month? Any music from Mary Margaret O'Hara, who lit up our synapses with the masterpiece that was 1988's Miss America warrants the hanging of buniting from ear lobes and wanton limb-waving. She wrote the soundtrack to this Canadian movie (in which she also appears) in 2000, and it's only thanks to the monastic diligence of our doggedly dedicated reviews editor that I , with immeasurable glee, find it in my paws.
APARTMENT HUNTING (Apartment Hunting Productions) ***** is thoroughly stunning. It really, factually, send shivers down your spine.
